Film Pitch Script Notes


Narrative
To elaborate on the slideshow and talk more about the story:

1.       Male aged 16 to 18 killed by supernatural being, killer leaves symbol on the corpse.
2.       Group of teenagers walking out of college, protagonist receives the chain message, friends convince him to ignore the message.
3.       Female aged between 16-18 killed by the supernatural being
4.       Killer receives phone call where he informed he is the next target.
5.       Confrontation between supernatural being and protagonist. (talk about his escape ie the symbol)
6.       Chain message get sent again, shows the open ending of the film.

Genre

·         Maybe talk about the locations and what happens in the ones listed refer to the narrative slide.
·         Talk about the costumes and who wears what
·         Talk more about the props if there is any not on the list

Representation: age

·         Social characters: shown by their use of phones to communicate with each other out of college.
·         They don’t do anything negative (was a tad confused might not have to say this actually)

Media Language: shots

·         POV – will be used when the message gets received and again with the phone call. Movie directors such as Alfred Hitchcock used this technique in their films.
·         Tracking shot - characters leaving college
·         Cut-in shot to highlight on the symbol used throughout the film.

Media language: angles
·         Eye-level – usual level used in most scenes
·         Low angle – to show who is in power within that particular scene example would be the confrontation scene.
